Modern World longest siege - Siege of Sarajevo, is a tour designed to properly explain how Sarajevo defended, lived and survived more than 1400 days of siege, siege even longer than WWII Siege of Leningrad. We invite you to join us and get first hand experience on experiences, stories, facts, and reasons behind the story of death of Yugoslavia and why Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sarajevo took a central and the most unfortunate role.

Tour starts from the old town of Sarajevo and immediately we head towards the War Tunnel Museum - Tunnel of Hope. On the way there (roughly 25-30 min drive) we explain and show things essential to understand reasons behind the breakup of Yugoslavia. While driving we see unfortunate Markale Massacre sites, Bosnian Presidency building, famous Sniper Alley, Marshall Tito Barracks, Bosnian Parliament, Hotel Holiday Inn, National TV house and few other locations important for the overall understanding concept of Sarajevo Siege and Aggression of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Once we arrive at the Tunnel, a tunnel which saved Sarajevo during the Siege, Tunnel of Hope which was the major "blood line" for heavily besieged and destroyed city, we learn about its role in history. We get to know how and why we dug it, how long it took, how roughly 3.000.000 people went through it, but most importantly we understand what it meant for "Sarajevans". We stay there around 1 hour as museum exhibit requires thorough explanations to better understand the importance of this place.

After the Tunnel we head toward Olympic mountain of Trebević, which by vast majority of its length was a first line during the Siege of Sarajevo. At the site we have the opportunity to see where the real destruction appeared and where the real front lines used to be, and where the real sniper and artillery fire took place over innocent citizens of Sarajevo.

During these times we will focus our story on postwar affects and stories of Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1995 until today. One of the most amazing parts of this tour is Trebević Olympic Bobsled and story of 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympic Games. Region of the Bobsled has been one of the important strongholds of Republic of Srpska Army (VRS) during the Siege of Sarajevo, and today offers unique opportunity to fully understand nature of resistance of Bosnian Army forces.

The tour is very much enriched with great panorama views, especially from the very top of Trebević mountain where you get the real feeling what mice and cats game had been played here, and how the enemy with such a great advantage never got the real chance to take over Sarajevo city.

Important stop of the tour is Jewish Cemetery - by many historians 2nd largest European Jewish Cemetery, played important role of city resistance, and during the Siege was one of the most dangerous Serbian Army Sniper positions, taking countless victims of innocent Sarajevo civilian. Aside of the Siege related importance, cemetery is heavily important historical site.

Last site of the tour is Yellow Bastion - the most beautiful viewpoint above the city, offering final understanding what people of Sarajevo have been through during those 4 years of Modern World Longest Siege.

The tour ends at Baščaršija square where the drop off will take place.

Mostar town and the whole of Herzegovina region are a must see and 'taste' by anyone ever coming to Bosnia and Herzegovina or Balkans area. That is why we have designed a tour which offers most of it from perspective of cultural diversity and unique history, truly amazing scenery and delicious food as well. We invite you to join us for this amazing, UNESCO based trip and get to see Mostar and Herzegovina including 5 major places: Konjic, Jablanica and Jablaničko Lake, Počitelj and Blagaj.

Tour starts in Sarajevo, but can be arranged from elsewhere, if requested. First stop of the day is a short visit to the old part of Konjic town. Unique, prehistorically inhabited, famous for 17th century 6-arch Old Bridge, looming over the turquoise Neretva river, it is a day’s perfect start. Standing at the site of WW2's last day, during the Nazi withdrawal, we learn the story of the 'monument to human stupidity', the mystery of Tito’s Bunker, Boracko Lake glacier and few other stories before we continue our way.

The ride continues by passing the large, dammed but very beautiful Jablanicko lake, with a short stop at Jablanica where we learn the WW2 story of 'Neretva Battle'. Then we continue through some really amazing parts of Neretva river canyon, telling the unique stories of Herzegovina, before we arrive to our second stop - Počitelj. Unique, Medieval, dating back to the Ottoman era, present day Ottoman-Mediterranean style architecture fortress in Počitelj town, is one of the very few urban ensembles in Bosnia and Herzegovina preserved in their integrity to the present times.

After Pocitelj, we keep going, and after a short ride we arrive to Blagaj. Blagaj town is home to the Buna river spring - Europe’s most beautiful, most powerful, clean and drinkable river spring, settled beneath few hundred meters of rocks. Water comes out of quite large but stunningly deep cave, which springs amazing 43 cubic meters of water per second. Just next to the spring, under the rock, is home to Blagaj Tekke - Dervish house, dating most likely to a pre or early Ottoman era from early 16th century, and it is a unique sacral-residential example of Islamic architecture in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After a visit to Blagajska Tekija and Izvor rijeke Bune we stay there for bit longer as it is time for lunch. Due to the cleanliness of Buna river, the most important thing to taste in Blagaj today is the local trout.

Later, only 15 minute further, it is time for the visit to Mostar, which is the most important jewel in this Herzegovina day trip. As soon as we arrive to Mostar, we start our 2 hour walking tour which will cover most important sites and locations in Mostar. We focus at Mostar’s Old Bridge, Old Bazaar and Old Town, but offer stories of Mostar’s uniqueness, in regards to historical and cultural diversity.

In Mostar we give our guests free time to explore on their own as we simply do not like to hold a candle all the way. After Mostar it is time to go back to Sarajevo, and it will take us around two hours ride before we are home.

This day tour from Sarajevo to understand the genocide of Srebrenica 11th July 1995, is unique, factual and storytelling experience. It has been created for anyone interested to learn more about these unfortunate events which took place in region of Eastern Bosnia, called Podrinje, during July 1995. We invite you to join us, learn more, and help us break the prejudice about Srebrenica Genocide.

After the morning pickup around 8 am, you'll spend two and a half hours on the road towards Srebrenica, where you’ll enjoy the beautiful scenery of Eastern Bosnian mountain regions, spiced up with detailed stories and important explanations behind the reasons of "Death of Yugoslavia". Understanding the role of Bosnia in the storm of 90's is crucial for better understanding of Genocide in Srebrenica.

Genocide in Srebrenica is not an event which just took place in one narrow region or one town, in fact, it is an overall story of aggression on Bosnia and Herzegovina, meaning Genocide events took place in wider area of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and especially of the region of East Bosnia. During your ride you will pass through several small towns and village where similar events have occurred, so chronological introduction and context is very important to fully understand the story that you'll be exploring together that day.

As soon you arrive to Memorial Centre at Potočari, you will have a chance to participate at locally guided tour and history class at Memorial Centre with official guide. Local guide in charge is survivor of those events and person whose experiences and stories are extremely important part of the tour.

Memorial Cemetery where over 6500 people, in past years have been buried, before exhumed and identified, while some over 1500 victims are still missing, will be the most striking and mind blowing part of the visit. Other important elements of the visit will take place at former Dutchbat UN base, where you’ll get a chance to see amazing newly open (Feb 2017) Museum of "Srebrenica Genocide - failure of international community", understand importance of Memorial Room, see number of documentary movies, study chronological photo exhibitions, get stunned by graffiti remains, learn personal stories and stories of in-base mass grave and other elements of importance related to overall story of Srebrenica Genocide.

After some three hours of visiting Potočari Memorial Centre, it's time for a short, 6 km ride to Srebrenica town. Visiting this small, historically rich, ‘silver town’ (Bosnian for silver is ‘Srebro’) will give better insight in the meaning of the “Worlds largest concentration camp during the 90's”.

Once in Srebrenica, it'll be time to stop for lunch (not included) where you will receive further elaboration about present life, as well as have a chance to explore the place on your own too.

After you are done with lunch and city explorations, it is time to head back. Expect to be in Sarajevo around 6 or latest 7 pm.

Finally today, facts are known, as what exactly happened in Srebrenica is beyond any reasonable doubt, simply numerous trials at ICTY have proven it, but true reasons and role of the Dutchbat UN forces at Srebrenica, and overall UN role, is very hard to fully uncover. The mission of this tour is to clear it out.

After we have "tasted" Jajce for roughly two to three hours we go for the Lakes. In the vicinity of Jajce on Pliva river there are two lakes. Only five kilometers away we ll visit Large and Small Pliva lakes.

Whatever you prefer, walking around, kayaking or canoeing (in 1963. World and European Championship in kayaking and canoeing on still waters were held on Pliva lake), laying on the beaches, doing some swimming, even fishing or just photography - everything is only "desire" away :)

Very interesting part of the Pliva lakes story are Mills at small Pliva lake. Amongst people famously called "Mlinčići", which once have been main promotional material for postcards and tourist potential of Great Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy.

Stunning views of Rakitnica canyon, amazing scenery of Bjelasnica mountain, experiencing way of life at Bosnian most remote nomad village, unique history and culture of local communities, and bit of mythology and much more at one most unique places in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This tour will begin with ride from Sarajevo (8:00 AM) to Umoljani village, accross Bjelašnica mountain which in the same time is Olympic mountain and one of the most amazing in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

When we leave our van at Umoljani village we will start our, firstly one way roughly 3-4 hour long hike, to reach Lukomir village. Trail will take us from starting point of approximately 1275 meters altitude (Umoljani) to peak of Obalj at around 1896 meters altitude, with more then 620 meters of altitude gain. All this heavy work will pay off once on top, as views of Studeni Potok along the way, Rakitnica Canyon and mountains of Treskavica, Visocica and ultimate peak of Bjelasnica mountain with numerous small villages in distance will be simply stunning. After some rest and full time body and spirit enjoyment we are ready to hike down to Lukomir village at altitude of 1500 which will be unique experience as well.

Please note that depending on time of the year we can get lucky to have fields of bluberries, rose-hip, certain types of mushrooms, thyme or other plant species around us free to pick up and even taste.

Lukomir is highest and most of the year inhabited (except in recent years, during heavy winter season, when locals leave village until early spring) and in the same time most isolated nomad village in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Once in Lukomir we go for a deserved resting time, having local coffee, and some food as well.

Lunch is prepared at Lukomir village and included in the tour price. Dishes such as Zeljanica (spinach made pie) or Sirnica (cheese made) and Burek (meat made), with again local yoghurt and salad. Nothing in the world beats this.

Second part of the tour will be pure enjoyment. After exploring Lukomir village, it will mainly be pleasant 3 hours hike back to Umoljani village, mainly on the flat terrain, through Canyong of Rakitnica river and amazing explorations of Peruce waterfall, Studeni Potok as one of the most beautiful valleys in whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina and story of "Umoljani Dragon". In the end of the day we ll do around 8 hours hike and will cover around 16km distance, which will surely be worth it all.

Umoljani village is mostly known for few things: Stoned Dragon, Mosque and Sarajevo Haggadah and Studeni Potok (Cold Creek). To know more about these and see them, I guess you will have to book a tour :)

After, we head it to Sarajevo, where approximate time of arrival is around 19.00 hours.
